Heute erkundeten wir die Dingle-Halbinsel, eine der schönsten und wildromantischsten Regionen Irlands. Leider waren wir reduziert unterwegs, da eine Person krankheitsbedingt im Hotel blieb – wir wünschen gute Besserung und hoffen, dass sie bald wieder dabei sein kann!

Das Wetter zeigte sich heute von seiner typisch irischen Seite: wechselhaft, mit starkem Wind, aber vor allem sonnig. Die Natur hier ist atemberaubend – schroffe Klippen, weite grüne Hügel und das endlose Blau des Atlantiks begleiteten uns den ganzen Tag.

Unser erster Stopp galt den Beehive Huts, den steinernen Eremitenhütten aus dem frühen Christentum. Diese einfachen, aber genial konstruierten Rundbauten erzählen von einem Leben in Demut und Gebet, zwischen Himmel und Erde.

Nur wenige Kilometer weiter besuchten wir das Gallarus Oratorium, eine der besterhaltenen frühen Kirchen Irlands. Die schlichte Schönheit dieses Bauwerks, das seit über 1300 Jahren steht, ist ein Zeugnis des Glaubens und der Handwerkskunst vergangener Zeiten.

Nach diesen eindrucksvollen Besichtigungen machten wir Mittagspause im hübschen Städtchen Dingle. Die bunten Häuser, die gemütlichen Cafés und die herzliche Atmosphäre luden zum Verweilen ein. Ein kurzer Spaziergang am Hafen rundete den Aufenthalt ab.

Am Nachmittag fuhren wir weiter zum Inch Beach, einem der schönsten Strände Irlands. Leider war der Wind so stark, dass es eine sehr sandige Angelegenheit war und der Besuch entsprechend kurz.

Zurück in Tralee erwartet uns heute Abend ein besonderes Highlight: eine irische Tanz- und Musik-Show. Wir freuen uns auf einen schwungvollen und musikalischen Abschluss dieses wunderbaren, etwas ruhigeren Tages.

Morgen steht ein grosser Reisetag an, der uns zurück in die Umgebung von Dublin führt. Doch heute Abend lassen wir uns noch von der irischen Lebensfreude anstecken – let the music play!
